MRO Contractors (formerly Rosco Corporation) is owned and operated by Mark. R. O'Donnell since 1998. We are an independently owned firm focusing on large commercial & industrial general contracting projects, and offer a variety of services such as standing seam, membrane & shingle roofing, pre engineered steel buildings, interior fit-ups, foundation work, additions, renovations and conversions.
Some of our projects include Wyman's Liquor Mart, Leominster Village at the Mall at Whitney Field, Pizzeria Uno Restaurants and Lancaster Street Realty.
Four reasons why we are not your typical general contractor
1. GMP Pricing: key to staying on budget
Our firm is keenly aware of operating within the proposed budget. We take this so seriously in fact, we offer what's called GMP Pricing: Guaranteed Maximum Price. It's a common practice for contractors bid low, get the job, then incrementally increase the cost throughout the life of the project. To be fair, change orders do occur and cost overruns are a reality, but when you get a GMP bid from us, this means we have already calculated cost overruns, and guarantee the bottom line will not exceed our proposed bid. Therefore we often complete the job under budget, and the balance of the savings is divided up into a fund, 70% of which is returned to the client.
This enables our firm and the client to enter into a short term business partnership, so our business dealings are transparent - we fully disclose our financial records to the client so there's no suspicion or anxiety and 70% of the cost savings benefit the client monetarily.
2. Our staff is our staff
We employ a full time staff of 9 people, which means we bring our own staff rather than rely on subcontractors to complete the job on time and within budget. This also enables us to maintain 100% control from start to finish and take responsibility for the entire project.
3. We offer a holistic approach to building
